We dream of new social order where the under privileged and marginalized people are empowered to freely discover and develop their own potentialities, powers and resources and exercise their rights and duties for the integral growth of themselves and others on the march towards a self-reliant, secular, democratic society.
Mission of Janvikas.
To work for the creation of a conductive environment for the self –sustained and integral development of people, who are discriminated and marginalized on the basis of class, caste, creed, and gender and those who are deprived, exploited and suffer injustice because of ignorance, illiteracy, poverty and unemployment. We pay special attention to unorganized women laborers, working children, unemployed youth, migrants and nomadic people.
Activities are in progress in 'Creating awareness among people of Indore city on cleanliness' as part of Swach Bharat Abhiyan in collaboration with Indore Municipal corporation.
An extensive survey of Rag Pickers in Indore city is being carried out by Janvikas Society.
Janvikas is part of the nation wide campaign for inclusion of Rag Pickers into the Solid Waste Management Process.
The Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 clearly states about the inclusion of Rag Pickers in the Solid Waste Management Process. Rag Pickers are the owners of dry waste generated.
National Workshop of Alliance of Indian Waste Pickers (AIW) will be held on 11th and 12th of February 2020 in Bhopal. Waste Pikers along with representatives of organizations working with waste pickers will discuss various issues faced by them during the workshop.
National Youth Day will be celebrated at Janvikas along with the Youth Club members from different slums.
Admissions are open for the 9th batch of DB Tech Skill Training in Tailoring, Office Assistant, Assistant Beauty Therapist and Assistant Electrician. The new batch will commence from first week of April 2020.
